This is a Catholic Youth Organization for
St. Francis Xavier Parish in Metairie, LA.
5th & 6th graders = Junior CYO
7th graders thru High School Seniors = Senior CYO
Mission
· The CYO of the Archdiocese of New Orleans is called to respect and minister to the young Catholic Church of today by seeking to nurture and develop its faith life.

Our model for this
ministry is Jesus, who prepared, trained and sent His disciples for their
mission in the world (cf. Matt. 28:19). We hope to empower members in active
Christian discipleship and growth in Catholic identity.
Goals
o To enable leadership in the development of quality youth and young adult ministry.
o To provide opportunities for gathering, developing and nurturing young leaders in the Archdiocese of New Orleans.
o To be a leading advocate for youth and young adults in the Catholic Church and society, assuring that their voices are heard.
CYO members participate in social activities, service programs and spiritual
activities.
